Corrosion and its Mitigation in Renewable Energy Sector

Dr. Raman Vedarajan is a Scientist at the Centre for Fuel Cell Technology, International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrochemical Surface Modification from Anna University (2006), an M.Phil. in Materials and Electrochemistry, and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. His extensive research career includes positions as Postdoctoral Fellow at NIMS, Japan (2006–2009), International Exchange Researcher at Osaka University (2004–2006), Assistant Professor at JAIST, Japan (2012–2017), and Scientist at ARCI since 2010. He has been involved in advanced materials research, particularly on fuel cells, coatings, and electrochemical applications.

Dr. Vedarajan received the prestigious MEXT–MHRD Japanese Government Scholarship, was Co-Investigator for a JSPS-DST Indo-Japan collaborative project on solid electrolytes for Li batteries, and was a member of the Toyota National Project [TherMAT (NEDO)]. His work bridges academia and industry towards sustainable energy solutions.
