Marine Corrosion
Dr. Shashi Bhushan Arya is a distinguished academic in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with over two decades of expertise in materials degradation, localized corrosion, metallic passivation, thermal barrier coatings, and antimicrobial paints for marine applications. He earned his PhD in Corrosion Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay and BTech from MNIT Jaipur. Dr. Arya has published more than 105 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings.
He reviews for 30+ international journals and has received Outstanding Reviewer Awards from Petroleum Science & Engineering and Tribology International. His research group has won nine Best Research Paper Awards, and he received The Electrochemical Society (USA) International Travel Grant. As a committed educator, he has guided 6 PhD, 55 MTech, 1 MS, and 46 BTech dissertations and currently supervises multiple scholars.
Dr. Arya has delivered 75+ invited talks across premier academic and industrial institutions and conducted specialized training programs. He serves on editorial and advisory boards and is dedicated to “Building TRUST against RUST” through innovative corrosion protection and sustainable materials engineering.
