Prof. Toleti Subba Rao

Prof. Toleti Subba Rao is the Dean – School of Technology and Dean – Centre for Research, Innovation, Collaboration & Policy at Sai University, Chennai. Prior to joining Sai University in 2022, he served for 34 years at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, as Scientist-H & Head – Biology Group, and Professor at Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai. Listed among the top 2% of the world’s influential researchers (Stanford University study), Prof. Rao has published over 250 research papers, holds 2 patents, and has led numerous DAE projects. He holds a D.Sc. from Periyar University and is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, Chennai, AMPP (USA), and Applied Biotechnology Society of India. Nine PhD scholars have graduated under his supervision. He established a major national coordinated research program on Thermal Ecology in India.

Prof. Rao has delivered over 63 plenary, keynote, and invited lectures globally, serves on editorial boards, and is a member of multiple education and research committees, exemplifying leadership in innovation and academic excellence.
