Visalakshi Talakokula

Dr. Visalakshi Talakokula is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 20 years of academic and 5 years of industry experience. She currently serves as the Assistant Dean – Academics and R&D at École Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University, where she also heads the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).Her core expertise lies in Structural Health Monitoring, Sustainable Construction Materials, and Smart Structures. She has made significant contributions to research and education through 45 journal papers, 45 conference publications, patents, and a book.

She actively mentors Ph.D. and postgraduate students, and has led several national and international research projects, including UKIERI collaborations. Dr. Talakokula holds key positions in professional bodies such as IAStructE, ICI, IBC, and BIS, and has been instrumental in national code development. Her work has earned her multiple awards and continues to drive innovation and excellence in civil engineering.
